The Georgia Outdoor Recreation & Trail Summit: A Gathering with a Purpose
The Georgia Outdoor Recreation & Trail Summit brings together non-profit leaders, city planners, elected officials, greenspace advocates, recreation enthusiasts, and others to envision an accelerated and ambitious approach to improving Georgia’s trails and outdoor recreation venues.
In 2022, we are meeting in person and taking the Summit outdoors. Through expanded mobile workshops all day Sunday and on Monday afternoon, you will not just visit and experience outdoor recreation amenities, you will learn from local experts about how these sites and experiences came to be, and what it takes to maintain and operate them. Sunday evening, all are invited to the Augusta Canal Authority for our Georgia Outdoor Recreation Coalition reception.
We will gather indoors on Monday morning to hear from a strong lineup of plenary speakers ranging from elected officials to industry leaders to grassroots activists. On Monday afternoon, you will choose from several traditional breakout sessions and additional mobile workshops.
We also invite you to join us for a pre-Summit campout at Greystone Preserve. A special thanks to the Savannah River Land Trust for hosting this new event.
